Home Run Inn's corporate division is made up of departments that support both the restaurants and our frozen pizza manufacturing operations. Opportunities are available in the following departments:
- Accounting
- Accounts Payable Manager: Receives and enters invoices into the accounts payable software, and prepares checks to vendors.
- Accounting Supervisor: Prepares financial statements and performs business analysis.
- Human Resources
- Management: Plans, directs, carries out policies, programs and procedures relating to all phases of personnel activity. Manages automated services processing payroll application.
- Generalist: Collects and analyzes and reports data. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Assistant: Provides support in functional areas of a human resource department such as employment, personnel records, compensation, benefits, payroll, training and safety.
- Payroll Administrator: Computes and processes wage and salary payments. Prepares routine reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance companies and others.
- Information Technology: Work with variety of software & hardware including computer building, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Marketing: Budget and plan yearly advertising and marketing schedules. Work directly with agencies & advertising companies to both create & run TV spots. Will receive daily hands on experience and work events such as the Taste of Chicago.
- National Sales Representative: Develop and maintain new business relations with grocery chains outside of Illinois. Must be agreeable to traveling two to three days a week.
- Receptionist: Greet clients, handle multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, record keeping, monitoring and making sure the front office is kept clean.
Power Play Distributors and Home Run Inn developed a partnership in May 2002 with the objective to develop and expand distribution of Home Run Inn frozen pizza throughout Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana.
We are always looking for qualified candidates for our distribution department.
- Sales Representatives: Maximize sales and provide excellent customer service to their accounts. It is the responsibility of the sales representative to maintain proper levels of product at the different account locations.
- Administrative Support: Supports the A/R Department with various tasks and duties.
- Accounts Receivables Staff: Monitors and maintains accounts for cash application, invoice collection and overall customer service. Also responsible for processing sales invoices, providing sales representative support and assisting managers with account sales information.
- Office Manager: Oversees and manages the administration and accounts receivable departments. Reports directly to the president and works closely with other department heads.
Home Run Inn frozen pizza is produced at one of our two USDA approved manufacturing facilities. The plants also act as commissaries by making and shipping ingredients used at Home Run Inn restaurants.
We are always looking for qualified candidates for our manufacturing plants.
- Production: Perform various duties such as mix sauce, process meat, grate cheese or perform tasks on the production line to produce a quality frozen pizza. Work from verbal orders, recipe cards and production sheets.
- Production Manager: Reconcile inventory from previous day production activity by physically performing inventory counts and cross checking the counts to computer generated reports. Coordinate the set up of production lines for scheduled production activity. Assist in monthly inventory counts.
- Maintenance: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical components. Set-up the production equipment necessary for the specific day's activity. Perform regular checks on all building equipment and document accordingly. Work closely with production personnel on equipment repairs and machine set-up procedures.
- Purchasing/Receiving: Review weekly production sheets to determine what materials are needed for production. Identify which items are needed to fill an internal restaurant order from written order forms.
- Product Demonstrators: Prepare and set up food, cook product, greet customers & serve food products. Talk to customers about the company and answer inquiries they may have. Build rapport with store management.

- Merchandising Team Manager: Develop and implement marketing strategies and objectives for market areas. Increase sales volume through direct-sales efforts.
- Food Runner: Deliver food to tables and assist in minor food preparation work.
- Dishwasher: Clean dishes & dishwashing area. Conduct basic maintenance and repairs in kitchen equipment.
- Pizza Maker: Prepare, cook, & cut pizzas.
- Line Cook: Operate fryer, oven and other cooking equipment.
- Hostess: Greet guests, ask seating preference and usher to appropriate table. Promote specials and any promotions running.
- Delivery Driver: Deliver food products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
- Phone/Cashier: Take phone orders and operate cash register.
- Bus Person: Assemble and dismantle dining room and buffet tables. Arrange bus stations. Prepare and stock items needed.
- Server: Greet guests, present any specials, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service. Servers must be comfortable taking guests' orders and handling different payment methods.
- Bartender: Mix, prepare and serve drink orders. Operate cash register. Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.

- General Managers: Run restaurant operations, monitor financial reports, assist in marketing the store. Hire, train & evaluate employees, enforce company policies, and establish performance standards.
- Floor Managers: Assist in the management and overseeing of employees engaged in serving food and beverage. Mentor employees and provide excellent customer service to our guests.
- Kitchen Managers: Manage employees engaged in food preparation and production. Monitor ordering, inventory, food preparation and production procedures. Ensure that sanitation and safety guidelines are followed.
- Human Resource Generalist: Works directly with the Human Resource Director. Overseas the implementation of company medical benefits. Provides assistance in answering employees inquiries on company policies and benefits.
- Accounts Payable Manager: Receives and enters invoices into the accounts payable software and prepares checks to vendors.
- Accounts Supervisor: Prepares balance sheets, monthly and year end closing and analytical reports, and monitors cash flow.
